nobody holds
it alone.

cognitive infrastructure design for families and individuals whose brains need more support than the world was built to give them.

what we do

systems built for the way your brain actually works.

most tools were designed by rested people, for rested people. they assume you'll remember to open the app. that you can tolerate a list of seventeen things. that you have capacity to decide what comes next.

we don't assume any of that. we design from depletion — from lived experience, from evidence — and we build systems that work when you have nothing left.

this is bespoke work. every system is designed for your situation, your people, your constraints. there is no off-the-shelf version of what we do. you will not find this anywhere else.

she built the first version of gadget solo for herself — from inside adhd and cptsd, from inside a body that couldn't access standard productivity tools. the insight came from the limit, not from the expertise.

that's where this knowledge comes from. that's why it works.

this is what cognitive infrastructure looks like.

gadget solo is a working example of the kind of system we build. one task, visible on the wall, updated without requiring you to open an app, make a decision, or remember anything.

built on a fire tablet in an ikea frame. connected to a backend that learns your patterns. adapted for a brain that needed something the world hadn't built yet.

one thing at a time. never a list.

lowercase. under ten words. no cheerleading.

adapts to your cognitive state. works when you're depleted.

doesn't require remembering to use it.

gadget solo is available as a starting point. for families who need something built for their specific situation — a parent with dementia, a child with adhd, a household carrying too much — we build bespoke versions.
